Lapiro de Mbanga
Lapiro de Mbanga (Born Lambo Pierre Roger in Mbanga, Cameroon 1957) is a Cameroonian singer, song writer who served as a political prisoner for his songs directed to the regime of Paul Biya. Lapiro became popular in Cameroon ever since the release of his album "Pas argent no love" in 1985. Lapiro has toured in Europe and has been recognized by organizations around the world among other musicians who have suffered political persecution in their home countries. Lapiro de Mbanga served a 3 years prison sentence following the release of his song "Constitution constipee"(Constipated Constitution).
